About RSPCA Queensland

For nearly 140 years, RSPCA Queensland has been a leading animal welfare charity, dedicated to improving the lives of animals - whether domestic, farmed, or native. We care for over 42,000 animals annually, relying on the generosity of animal lovers like you to fund 91% of our life-changing services.

Our Mission: Together We Change Lives, And That Includes Yours.

About the Role

As a Partnerships Specialist, you’ll sit at the intersection of purpose and business, working with organisations who want their partnerships to mean something. At RSPCA Queensland, our corporate partners are collaborators - businesses who want to engage their people, strengthen their brand and create tangible impact for animals across Queensland.

In this role, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, helping relationships evolve over time - from early conversations, through to delivery, renewal and growth. You’ll spend your days building trust, shaping ideas, problem-solving creatively and bringing partnerships to life in ways that genuinely aligns for both parties.

If you love people, thrive on connection and get a buzz from seeing partnerships move from “what if?” to “we did it”, this role offers the opportunity to do work that uses smart commercial thinking, creativity, connection and tangible impact.

What We’re Looking For

You’re someone who understands that the strongest partnerships aren’t built in a pitch deck - they’re built through curiosity, listening, credibility and follow-through. You know how to hold a professional conversation with senior stakeholders but you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to make things happen behind the scenes.

You’re naturally personable, confident, and great at reading the room. You can connect purpose to business goals in a way that feels authentic and practical. You enjoy thinking creatively, but you also understand the importance of delivery, detail and accountability.

Most importantly, you care about relationships. You value long-term impact over quick wins, and you take pride in building partnerships that grow stronger year after year.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

Build and grow partnerships

  • Manage and steward a portfolio of established corporate partners.
  • Support the identification and development of new partnership opportunities.
  • Contribute to partnership proposals, renewals and growth conversations.

Create value for partners

  • Work closely with partners to understand their goals, priorities and challenges.
  • Help shape partnership solutions (sometimes turnkey, often tailored) that deliver mutual value.
  • Support partner engagement through activations, experiences and storytelling.

  • Represent RSPCA Queensland in partner meetings, events and site visits.
  • Support the delivery of Corporate Experience Days and other engagement initiatives.

Organisation and reporting

  • Maintain accurate records and notes in Salesforce.
  • Assist with reporting, acknowledgements, communications and impact updates for partners.

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in a corporate partnerships or sponsorship role.
  • Experience supporting partnership growth or new business initiatives (highly regarded).
  • A strong relationship builder with a confident, professional and approachable style.
  • Commercially aware, with a clear understanding of business drivers and decision-making.
  • Creative and solutions-focused, with the motivation to explore new ideas.
  • Highly organised, with strong time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Clear, engaging written and verbal communication skills.
  • A preference for long-term partnerships over one-off transactions.
  • Motivated by purpose, while remaining grounded in delivery and outcomes.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing positively to team culture.
  • Alignment with RSPCA Queensland’s values and purpose.
